MAKO
Mako is a nonprofit working at uplifting at-risk youth in rural Ghana through long-term education and skill-building opportunities.
I was hired as a solo freelancer utilizing my art direction, graphic design, marketing and UX/UI skills to revamp the nonprofit's branding and website. I tackled a new logo, branding guidelines, and revised their website to better reflect their new journey and vision.
Branding Revamp
After many years of running as a nonprofit named Happy Kids, changes in the organization and goals lead to a rebrand: MAKO.
I first designed the logo:

Keeping it simple and fun, I wanted to make sure it showcased their new vision and direction.
Once the logo was established, I created a brand new style guide that helped us carry the look and feel through the rest of the creative assets.

Website Redesign
Due to the rebranding update, we did a complete overhaul to redesign the website to better reflect the new direction while optimizing it for SEO. I tackled a variety of tasks including: establishing the organization and content for the new website, sketched, wireframed, and designed all of their new pages - creating a more comprehensive and SEO friendly website.
